Briantspuddle Village Hall, Main Street, Wimborne, Dorset, DT2 7HT
The thatched village hall at Briantspuddle is one of two such buildings in Dorset and was converted from a barn in the 1920s. Internally, although it has many modern facilities, a glance at the roof of the main hall will reveal its former use as a barn.
The village has workers cottages built in the Arts and Crafts style designed by Halsey Ricardo and Macdonald Gill, a magnificent war memorial by Eric Gill which are all part of the Bladen Estate - a model farm created by Sir Ernest Debenham.
There will be a small exhibition on the architecture and history of the Bladen Estate in the village hall, where refreshments will also be available.
