Come and explore Bridport Museum for free! The museum is right in the heart of Bridport, a historic rope and net making town. You will experience interactive displays and captivating stories, based in one of Bridport’s oldest buildings.

Founded in 1932, Bridport Museum is housed in a building known as 'The Castle'. The facade of the building goes back to Tudor times. .
Our collections and displays celebrate the town's unique heritage: 180 million years of rocks and fossils, 2000 years of people and 800 years of rope and net making.

Entry will be free on Friday 11, Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 September.

We will be celebrating Bridport’s traditional craft with rope making demonstrations—come and have a go!

There will also be an opportunity to view our current temporary exhibition 'Bridport at Arms' by The Keep Military Museum
