The Archivist provides a talk on the everyday lives of pupils and staff over the 175-year history of the College using our wonderful archival collection to help tell their stories. This will be followed by a full guided tour of the College.

For a single day, Brighton College will open its doors to visitors, with a historical talk from the College Archivist, followed by a tour of the site during a normal school day.

From 2pm, visitors will be welcome to have some refreshments. The talk will commence at 2.20pm, and will focus on the everyday lives of pupils and staff over the 175-year history of the College, using our wonderful archival collection to help tell some unique personal stories. The talk will cover lives from the College's earliest days, through periods of great expansion and hardship, to its current success in recent decades.

After the talk, visitors will be able to go on a tour of the College site and take a closer look at some of its newest buildings, while guided by some of our marvellous Prefects. During this talk we hope visitors will have the opportunity view the College’s fascinating blend of historical and modern architecture, and to see what life is like for Brighton College pupils and staff today.

Brighton College is situated along Eastern Road, in the Kemptown area of Brighton, east of the city centre.
