From flint to intergalactic superheroes – Norwich has a multitude of stories to tell. This presentation by Vanessa Trevelyan looks at the various building materials, architects and styles that have created the Norwich that we know and love today.

Once the second city in importance after London, Norwich has been shaped by wealthy merchants, a visionary parks superintendent, and its two cathedrals and two universities. This has all contributed to making Norwich one of the best places to live in England.

Vanessa Trevelyan is a previous Chair of the Norwich Society, which works to preserve the best of Norwich’s architectural heritage and encourage the best new building to create our heritage of the future.
