Textile Designer Kate Farley shares her experience of designing textiles and surface pattern for the Barbican Centre and Birmingham Airport to show how heritage aesthetics inform her design practice. 50 minute talk and questions.

Renowned textile designer and lecturer Kate Farley will be sharing her experience of designing textiles and surface pattern for the built environment as well as how places and architecture continue to inspire her work. With a keen interest in heritage aesthetics to inform her design practice, Kate will be discussing a range of projects including her designs for the Barbican Centre and Birmingham Airport amongst other case studies. This 50 minute talk with questions is organised by The Costume and Textile Association (C&TA).
