Bring the children along to create their very own structure, inspired by the shapes and design of the Nicholson Institute. Hone their creativity and imagination in this fun, hands-on activity—perfect for budding builders!
11am-12pm - Walking Tour of Leek’s Architectural Gems. **Tickets are limited. A booking link will be added shortly **
2-3pm - Walk and talk - The history of The Foxlowe
10am-3pm - Children’s activity - Use every day objects to create models inspired by The Nicholson Institute.
Friends of the Nicholson Institute is a new group made up of community members working together to reimagine the museum, gallery and library as a vibrant space celebrating people of the Moorlands past and present.
OUTSIDE Arts is a Creative People and Places project working with communities in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

There is accessible car parking near to the market at Silk Street and Moorlands House car parks. Accessible parking is also available at the rear of The Foxlowe for attendees of the afternoon event, although please note that this event involves exploring the upstairs of the Foxlowe which is accessible by stairs only. Toilets, including accessible toilets are available in Silk Street Car Park and at the Foxlowe. Cafes and food vendors in Leek Butter and Trestle market and at the Foxlowe.
