An Exhibition of some of the oldest properties in Brisley, Norfolk and the stories about people and families who lived there.

The focus for the exhibition this year will be on several of the oldest buildings: The Rectory, Brisley Hall, The Primitive Methodist Hall, The School, The Village Shop, The three pubs- The Brisley Bell, The White Horse and The Red Lion. We will explore the social history of the village over a hundred years and provide photos and biographies of some of the families.

On 12th September 2025 at 1800 there will be a talk by Lyn Stilgo on a History of some of the Churches in Norfolk.

Lyn Stilgoe has been involved in writing books and guiding people around East Anglian churches for over 30 years. She is an active member of the Round Tower Churches Society, arranging visits to explore these, she is the author of a very helpful guide to Round Towers: “The Round Tower Churches of Norfolk”.

She is hugely informative about churches in general and Brisley church in particular. Lyn has a wealth of knowledge regarding Brisley and during the evening she is happy to take questions to deepen understanding about our amazing church.

There is always so much to discover in Brisley church so let Lyn guide you through its treasures during her talk on Friday 12th September.
