Buxton Opera House Heritage Open Day

Join us for free, bookable guided tours of Buxton Opera House and explore our magnificent Frank Matcham Architecture. Tours will be running from 10am - 2pm, bookable on a first come first serve basis. If you're not able to attend a tour, the Opera House bars and auditorium will be open for the public to pop in and view our historic building built in 1903. Teas, coffees and refreshments available.

Accessibility details
Access to the venue Buxton Opera House The Opera House is only partially accessible to wheelchair users. The Stalls are wheelchair accessible. The Dress Circle, Upper Circle and Gallery are not wheelchair accessible and can only be reached by stairs. Unfortunately, we do not have a lift. The building is not accessible by motorised scooter. The accessible, level entrance is 72cm at its narrowest point. We have three wheelchair spaces in the Stalls and an accessible toilet. The Stalls bar can be made wheelchair accessible, please ask one of our volunteers who will be happy to help with the ramp
