The names of famous artists and designers are familiar to many of us; William Morris, Edward Burne-Jones, Sir George Gilbert Scott to name but a few. But the names of the people who built, manufactured, decorated, or created those designs are less well known.
This tour will focus on those who were born in Cambridge/shire and lived in the city for the whole of their working lives, although examples of their work can be found around the Country.
Join Green Badge guide Yvonne Pinchen for a visit to some of the locations in Cambridge where the work of these ‘Artworkmen’ can be found. Let’s celebrate the skill of these working artists and artisans on a walking tour in central Cambridge.
