Castleford Potteries - An Exhibition, A Heritage Walk and A Heritage Talk

We will be showing a selection of Castleford Pottery from the Castleford Heritage Trust collections at Queen’s Mill. This is a drop-in event and open to everyone. This will be running between 1st September and the 25th September 2025. Time: Monday-Fridays 9:30am-2:30pm Venue: The Screen Room, Queen’s Mill, Castleford, WF10 1JL
CHT Trustee, David Wilders, will be giving an illustrated talk on the history of Phillips Pottery at Queen's Mill on the 18th September between 7pm-9pm. David will be presenting his research and will share his in-depth knowledge on this vital part of Castleford's industrial heritage. This is a drop-in event.
David Pickersgill, a local historian, writer and volunteer for CHT, will be leading a Heritage Walk through Castleford, specifically looking at the history of the Castleford Potteries on the 20th September. The walk will start at 10:30am from Queen's Mill and will last approximately 2 hours. This event must be booked. This walk is relatively accessible but some uneven ground may present challenges.
