St Mary's Church contains an internationally important scheme of medieval wall paintings in the chancel, dating from c.1320CE.
There are also counter-Reformation paintings and fragments of post Reformation paintings, as well as other heritage items, including graffiti. Written guides, a fully illustrated guide book and related information leaflets are available. There will be a short video providing an introduction to the paintings which will be shown every half hour. Volunteer guides will be on hand to show visitors around and provide help.
