Christ Church was founded by Henry VIII in 1546 as a unique joint institution of College and Cathedral. Discover some of the extraordinary spaces that lie behind its doors on one of our guided tours or explore the grounds at your own pace on a self-guided visit.

Entry for wheelchair users via Tom Gate on St Aldates. Ramps to Tom Quad and Cathedral. Lift to Hall. No wheelchair access to Cloister or Upper Library.

Tours must be booked in advance and will become available to book in the week of 24 August 2026 - TBC. The places available on tours will vary as they are dependent on the locations, each of which can accommodate different numbers of visitors. Refreshments available for sale / donations. Children's activities: TBC.
