Picturesque working water Mill set in delightful surroundings on the River Mole, with views over the weirs and farmland, and home to a variety of birds and wildlife. Celebrating 40 years since the mill was saved by Cobham Mill Preservation Trust.

This is the only fully working water mill in Surrey, carefully restored in 1992 by volunteers who continue to maintain and operate it. Local grain will be milled into flour and guides available to answer questions. The Mill has a landscaped area with beautiful views. An informative video is played at intervals and there are quizzes for children to do. Afternoon teas, scones, cakes and souvenirs

On Sunday 13th September 2026 the mill will be open from 1400-1700 for Heritage Day. Dogs and children welcome. Free admission. See our website or Facebook page for more details.

Narrow staircase to upper floor, some uneven floors and in some parts quite confined space. Dogs and children welcome. Lots of space outside

Additional information

Refreshments including homemade cakes and scones are available at the Mill and we have a souvenir sales table. We have a video presentation, knowledgeable guides and kids activities. Alongside our Heritage Open Days event. We are also open every 2nd Sunday of each month from April to October, 1400 until 1700. Situated beside the very river which drives our great water wheel and produces our flour.
