Come and see your Gipton Parish Church
Beech Lane, Gipton, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS9 6SW
A message to our Gipton Community and visitors - come and enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or cold drink at the Church of the Epiphany, Beech Lane, between 1100 and 1300 on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September. If you have not been inside the church before, come and enjoy the "WOW" experience as you come through the door!
This is the only 20th-century Grade I listed parish church in England. To see the amazing architecture of Cachemaille-Day and the stained glass by Christopher Webb is a must. Climb the 16 steps behind the altar to the Lady Chapel and follow the labyrinth painted on the floor.
The architect of our church was very much influenced by seeing a church in Coutances in Normandy, France and is built in the Romanesque style.
The church is on Beech Lane, Leeds, LS9 6SW, at the junction of Beech Lane, Amberton Road and Oakwood Lane and we look forward to meeting you.
