Brackley Road Cemetery, Buckingham is the final resting place of 10 soldiers and airmen who died for their country during WW1 + WW2. Join us for this tour to hear their stories and find out about the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s history.

During this Heritage Open Days tour we will talk about the CWGC and look at the stories of the ten service personnel from the First and Second World War buried in the cemetery. One of these is 2nd Lieutenant Frank Luker who saw service in the Gloucester Regiment in France and then the Mediterranean. He was then commissioned, joining the newly formed Royal Air Force in 1918. The casualties from the Second World War include Gunner George Jones who was serving with a Royal Artillery unit involved with the air defence of London.
