Community Memory Wall

Celebrating how Aylesbury's heritage is shaped by the people, stories and experiences that bring the town to life.

We are inviting residents and visitors to share your personal connections to Aylesbury by answering simple questions about where we live. Participants can record their memories on postcards and display them on a community memory wall alongside historic photographs and interesting facts.

Example questions:
What's your favourite Aylesbury memory?
Which building means the most to you?
What should future generations remember?
What makes Aylesbury feel like home?

There will be a map of Aylesbury, pinning your favourite location using a sticker.

This project celebrates Heritage Open Day by giving today's community the opportunity to become part of Aylesbury's living heritage through sharing their own memories and stories.
