Enjoy free entry to Corfe Castle over the weekend of 19 and 20 September and discover 900 years of history and the changing landscape as we open our doors for Heritage Open Days.

At Corfe Castle, entry is free on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September and we have plenty of activities in store for you.

Join a storytelling tour with the Keeper of the Castle to discover all about castle life in medieval times.

Explore the castle mound on an ecology walk and learn about the plants that grow in the castle today.

Find out about puffins, peregrines, plants and beavers with the Countryside Team and chat about the past, present and future of Purbeck's landscape. Discover more about beavers which, for the first time since the late 1700s, are now roaming wild in England. Purbeck's population is centred around Studland, but future releases will soon see these amazing eco-engineers on the tributaries around the Corfe river.

Plus have a go at fun archery, meet our volunteer stonecarvers, and get hands on with our handling collection - will you be able to hold a yoke with two water buckets?

Also, check out our exhibition of Corfe Castle's wonderful medieval artefacts from everyday life in the Welcome Centre.

It's going to be a fun weekend - come and join us. All welcome.
