Corpus Christi College Barge Open Day
Corpus Christi Barge, Meadow Lane, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX1 4BJ
An opportunity to visit a special part of Oxford’s floating history. The college barges, unique to Oxford, preexisted the current boathouses and were used for spectating and celebrating the rowing as well as for changing rooms and club houses.
The Corpus Christi college barge is a unique example of Edwardian architecture, and one of the only surviving examples of its ilk.
An exhibition of historical photos, architectural plans and articles about Oxford college barges will be on display on
Corpus Christi College Barge.
