County Hall Beverley
County Hall, Cross Street, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU17 9BA
The Conservation Team at the East Riding of Yorkshire Council will be providing an opportunity to visit the historic buildings that form County Hall in Beverley. While these now read as a single complex of buildings, they are a fascinatingly varied group, incorporating eleven different listed buildings, dating from the fifteenth to the late nineteenth centuries. These include the striking County Hall, which is a handsome example of late Victorian civic architecture, the mid-nineteenth-century former police station, and the exceptionally significant Guild Hall, which has had a fascinating history and exceptional internal detailing.
Visits are by guided tour only, during which we will walk you around these buildings, giving you an insight into their fascinating architecture and history, as well as allowing you to see areas that are not often open to the public.
