CPMG Architects office 13 St Peter's Gate, Nottingham
13 St. Peters Gate, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, NG1 2JF
Located just opposite St. Peter’s Church, 13 St Peter's Gate is an excellent example of imaginative re-use of unoccupied city centre space, the new home of CPMG-Architects and, in 2022, a winner of a regional design award from the British Council of Offices.
The building was constructed around 1874 as the offices of a water company and was for a long time a branch of Barclays Bank: they eventually moved on and it became a bar, with the uppermost floor converted to student flats.
When CPMG took on the lease in 2020 the building had been unoccupied for three years, CPMG obtained listed building consent to convert it into offices for their own use, adding a mezzanine floor to provide more desk space and converting the strong rooms in the basement to meeting rooms and ancillary spaces.
Tours of the building will be given in small groups. Examples of CPMG Architects work around the city will be on display with an accompanying quiz.
