Crichton Bespoke Distinguished Tailors
Crichton Bespoke, 26 Watergate Row North, Chester, Cheshire, CH1 2LD
There are a number of houses in this part of the Rows that date from the first half of the eighteenth century. The largest, after Booth Mansion, is 26 Watergate Street.
The interior has a double-pile plan. This describes a house that is two rooms deep, and this architectural layout provides a symmetrical and formal appearance, with paired rooms and, often, symmetrically placed chimneys. It has a beautiful 18th-century turned baluster staircase at its centre and panelled domestic rooms overlooking the Row walkway.
You may also have an opportunity to have a private glimpse into the Disguisery, the adjacent building, which has been designed in a unique way to complement the larger building.
