As part of Open Cambridge, Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts (CSVPA) will open the doors of its Bridge House studios and workshops to the public on Saturday 12 September, offering a rare opportunity to explore one of the city's leading centres for art, design, fashion and performance.
Visitors are invited to tour the studios, workshops and creative spaces where the next generation of artists and designers develop their practice. Recently recognised as #19 in the world for Fashion by CEOWorld magazine, CSVPA has also celebrated outstanding success at this year's New Designers exhibition in London, where BA Visual Communication graduates received multiple national industry awards.
Throughout the day, visitors will be able to experience exhibitions, artist demonstrations, talks and hands-on workshops, while discovering innovative Graduate School collaborations with partners including the University of Cambridge, University College London, the Cancer Institute and the PIPgen Consortium. The event will also showcase the College's new printmaking workshop and offer a glimpse of Arts Club Cambridge, the College's emerging live music and performance venue, created by transforming its canteen into a vibrant cultural space.
The café, bar and newly redesigned courtyard will be open throughout the day, providing a welcoming place to relax, meet staff and students, and enjoy the creative atmosphere.
