Visit Disley to see a stunning 500 year old carved ceiling with angels and a ram's head. Discover the historic connections with Lyme and links to wartime Guernsey. View a rare Geneva (Breeches) Bible, amazing stained glass windows and a Renn organ.

This 500 year old Grade II Listed Building has original parts dating from 1524 (reign of Henry VIII) and sits in beautiful scenery not far from the National Trust property of Lyme. For those interested in the history of Lyme there are strong connections with the church which you can explore.
Your visit is child friendly with activities available including a treasure trail, a stained glass window jigsaw puzzle, ascending the tower to the belfry, a tour of the building and it's history, and learning about the Breeches Bible.
There will be friendly helpers to show you round and there is also an infopoint system connecting to smartphones for more information.
Tea and cakes will be available (at a charge).

Directions:
Public transport - Disley railway station on the Manchester - Buxton line is a short walk away, Bus 199 Stockport to Buxton stops nearby. Driving - Turn off the A6 by the Ram's Head pub, take the road behind the Ram's Head and look for signs to the church car park on the left.
