Doncaster Mansion House Open Day

David Venables, a Doncaster based artist, has carried out extensive renovation work at the Mansion House on the facade, the pillars, plasterwork and mirrors. A small exhibition will show some before and after photographs and the techniques and tools used for producing a marbled affect and gilding. The Civic Mayor of Doncaster will be there to invite visitors to the Mayor's parlour, a room not usually open to the public.
There will also be regular guided tours of the building

Accessibility details
Access for people in wheelchairs or who find stairs difficult is via the next door Tourist Information Office. There is a lift, but for fire regulations, only one person who who need an evac chair to go downstairs in case of fire is allowed on the first floor at any one time.
