A talk on the evolution of 'home' in Dorset - from temporary shelters to permanent homes.

John Smith, local Historian and Archaeologist, will explain the evidence of Dorset buildings, from temporary shelters to permanent homes. From 40,000 BC to Saxon times, the talk covers the development from temporary shelters for a nomadic hunter/gatherer people to family homes with architectural features. Examples of building materials will also be on show.
