Dorstone Settlement Timeline Open Day
Dorstone Road, Dorstone, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR3 6AW
Dorstone village is a small place with a very big history.
For 6,000 years people have lived, worked and worshipped here, amongst dramatic Black Mountain views and a landscape of Neolithic monuments, ancient burial sites and the famous Arthur’s Stone. The recently restored St Faith's Church is the gateway to this history, presented through family activities, workshops and interactive digital touchscreens. The technology allows you to explore hundreds of timeline entries and hear from the people who have lived in this historic parish.
Our Heritage Open Day will feature a special display of finds from the recent Dorstone Dig, which range from Neolithic times to the Victorian Era. Visitor facilities include accessible toilets and new kitchen area, with refreshments and WIFI available.
