A show-round of key locations in East Horsley including St Martin’s Church, Lovelace Mausoleum and Cloisters and Chapel in Horsley Towers together with key Lovelace and Chown residential buildings.

A wonderful opportunity to explore key locations in the village of East Horsley and the legacy from its major landowner, William King-Noel, the first Earl Lovelace whose first wife was the legendary Ada Byron who was a major mathematical pioneer helping Charles Babbage to create the computer as we know it today. See the churchyard which contains Lovelace’s Mausoleum and the glorious house where William and Ada lived. St Martin’s Church dates (in part) before the Norman Conquest.

Walks starting from St Martin's (STM) at 1000 with a view to arriving at 1100 at Horsley Towers (HT) for approx 45 minutes

Walk guests will be allowed to park at HT and use the gate/path to STM Steep stairs to Lovelace Mausoleum – not suitable for limited mobility.

Walk guests will have access to a refreshment station in the venue, subject to availability.
