Visitors will have he opportunity to view the following in the estate archive at Eridge Park: Collection of John Robinson papers (1770 - 1782), The Abergavenny Family Plate (17th Century), 16th Century illuminated Psalter & a longcase clock (1705).

The Robinson Paper held by the Estate cover the period of John Robinson political career when h was senior Secretary to the Treasury (1770 - 1782). Acting also as Parliamentary Whip Robinson welded great political influence. He was, in addition, a great favourite of King George III and received a substantial royal pension on his retirement. The papers were left to his daughter Mary who was the wife of Henry Nevill, 2nd Earl of Abergavenny.

The silver plate on sow includes pieces by Paul de Lamerie (1688 - 1751) and David Wilaume (1658-1740).

The Eridge Clock is a month-going long case clock made circa 1705 by Thomas Tampion. Thomas Tampion's workshop produced 650 clocks during his career including timepieces for the King Charles II and the Royal Observatory, Greenwich.

The Nevill Psalterium is a beautifully illuminated manuscript in Latin and Middle English which would, most likely, been used by an individual for their private devotions.

The Estate Office is a working office rather than an archive and the majority of the Nevill family papers are held at one of the three County Record Offices: Kent Sussex and Gwent. We do have a few interesting items of local social history e.g. scrapbooks and staff can advice on where to look for additional information if visitors have family history enquires.
