A Georgian Grade Two listed House built with the bones of a timber framed house from the 1600s - now a 21st Century home for an artist and photographer.

In 2022 the house, joiner’s shop, garden and outbuildings were in a semi derelict state having been neglected for decades. Since then they are gradually being restored. The renovation combines respect for the building's past and restoration of historic features with the need to address modern living and the climate crisis. The build uses innovative building and insulation products.
See a display of the materials used in the renovation and also a selection of the work of owners Alison Milner https://www.alisonmilner.com and Steve Speller https:/landtraces.com
For the 2026 theme of ‘Everyday Histories’ Alison Milner has researched the lives of ‘Four Women’ who have lived in the house and how the house has changed and adapted over the centuries. The resulting writing and illustrations give an insight into rural, domestic and architectural history and the lives of hard working women.
There will also be a plant sale in the garden.
