Every day lives from Scrayingham's past

This year's event at Scrayingham church will look at the every day lives of some characters from the village's history, including some former Rectors including a 15th century knight, Sir Peter de Bolton, and the 18th century biographer, Thomas Zouch, the Railway King, George Hudson, as well as the lives of past villagers, such as Thomas and Ann Rounthwaite, who were married at Scrayingham in January 1836, and Thomas and Ann Beal The Open Day will also give the opportunity for visitors to learn more about this historic building, parts of which are known to date back to before 1066.

There is good wheelchair access to and into the church. There is however a step between the nave and chancel. Please note there are NO toilets at the church. Parking is available free of charge on the road outside the church.
Refreshments will be available from 10.30 to 15.30. Additional parking will be available if required.
