From boots to bonnets, find out about the life of the Rodhouse family of shoemakers and milliners, rediscover family favourites in the Co-op Baker ‘Bert’ Thompson’s recipe book and discover some of the tools of occupations past in engaging displays.

Visitors can also enjoy the museum’s current exhibition, Daventry Through Time and our brand-new, permanent display featuring a timeline of Daventry in the museum corridor. The exhibition brings this timeline to life, showcasing some of the museum's most treasured objects.

Young visitors will have plenty of opportunity to get involved in fun activities including our popular digging for fossils and treasure sand tray activity, designing your own Roman coin and dressing up, along with quizzes and scavenger hunts.

There’s also a captivating new display celebrating the historic landscape of Borough Hill. Featuring beautiful pen, ink and watercolour artworks by local artist, Pete Martin, the pieces are inspired by the intricate hatching and shading techniques of 19th-century topographical engravings.
