Meet the Researcher

Join us for a special opportunity to hear from researchers uncovering the hidden stories within the Devon and Exeter Institution's collections.

Tuesday 15 September – Amber Flood explores the everyday histories revealed through the Institution's nineteenth-century Members' Suggestion Book, offering a fascinating insight into the interests, curiosities and complaints of its early members!

Thursday 17 September – Fiona Schroeder shares her research into the Institution's arsenic-bound books, revealing the surprising history of Victorian bookbindings coloured with poisonous pigments and how these remarkable volumes are identified, handled and cared for today.
