A chance for members of the public, normally busy in the week, to visit the museum and view research into Whitchurch women running their own businesses during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Whitchurch is renowned for being the only town in Shropshire to have been continually inhabited on the same site since being built in Roman times. So why not visit the volunteer-run Museum and find out about the history of Whitchurch and its surrounding villages?

A special display for Heritage Open Days identifies local women who were working for themselves during the late 19th and early 20th century.
An accompanying free leaflet will be available for visitors to discover who these women were, what businesses they ran and whereabouts in the town they lived.
