Visit the historical collections of the largest police force in the southwest, at the Museum of Policing in Devon & Cornwall.

Comprising thousands of objects dating from modernity to as far back as 1790, the police collection is housed at Okehampton Police Station, not normally open to members of the public for obvious reasons!

The collection contains 200+ years' of policing ephemera, including uniforms, equipment, weaponry, communications devices, civil defence kit, forensic sets, fingerprinting, and much more.

Get into the Everyday History of the police with a guided stores tour by the Curator and her team. Soak up the entire history of a profession in just a couple of hours!
