Come and see how people lived in Shere Village in bygone years

Shere Village has a wonderful local Museum devoted to telling the story of the people of the local villages from pre-history to the present day. The water-driven Mills of the Tillingbourne Valley helped to drive prosperity over centuries; learn about all of the films and TV programmes that have been made in the Village for over 100 years; find out about how victory at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485 resonates in the Village to this day; hear about Shere's very own Dambuster hero and see the life-size replica bouncing bomb; let your children play with the old-fashioned bagatelle and shove ha'penny games.
