Everyday Quaker Life
Friends Meeting House, Stramongate, Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 4BH
Following a brief introduction, 'mini' Meetings for Worship will take place in the Friends Meeting Room, see where and how Quaker worship takes place and find out more about Quaker everyday life. Visitors will then have opportunity to view the Quaker Tapestry, a series of embroidered panels showing us how Quakers beliefs have shaped our world today; scientific and industrial revolutions, social reform, peace and the abolition of slavery. The Meeting House is a beautiful building to explore and you can relax in the walled Peace Garden. Please note the Meeting House, Peace Garden and Quaker Tapestry are open 10am-4pm on both 16th September and 20th September, mini Meetings for Worship are only on 16th September at 10:30, 11:30 and 14:00
