Join a free, limited-capacity webinar offering a virtual tour through the architectural history of Hooton Hall and RAF Hooton Park. Using maps, old photos, and amazing 3D models, the event explores:
* The 1788 Palladian-style mansion by Samuel Wyatt, later modified by J.K. Colling.
* Surviving parts of Hooton Hall, including six columns, now displayed at Portmeirion thanks to Clough Williams-Ellis.
* A recreated flyover of RAF Hooton Park, highlighting its rare WWI-era hangars with Belfast Roof Trusses.
The site’s history spans from training WWI pilots to civil aviation in the 1930s, and back to military use in 1936 with the famed 610 Squadron. They returned post-war,flying Meteor jets from the 6,000-foot runway.
