Faiths Walk around Sacred Community Spaces in Peartree, Derby

St Thomas' Church, Peartree Rd, Derby, Derbyshire, DE23 8NQ

  • 15 Sep 2025
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

We will visit at least one Christian Church, Hindu Temple, Sikh Gurdwara and Muslim Mosque, all located near to each other in this multi-faith multi-cultural neighbourhood. NB Dress code for mosque - see notes.

This year Derby Peace Week coincides with the national Heritage Open Days, which this year have the theme Architecture, so at each place of worship a person of that faith will talk briefly about how their building’s architecture enhances worship and how their community promotes peace.

Please assemble at St Thomas’ Church, where refreshments and toilets will be available from 3-7pm. Parking is available behind the church or in neighbouring streets.

There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion at the various locations.
