Enjoy a day at Farnham Castle, founded in the 12th century, the jewel in Farnham’s crown, looking down upon the town of today from its elevated position on Castle Hill as it has done for almost 1000 years.

Farnham Castle comprises a Keep and a Bishops' Palace, both dating from the twelfth century.
For 900 years, until the mid-twentieth century, the Castle was the home and power base of the Bishops of Winchester, and consequently frequently visited by royalty. The Keep and Palace are of great historical significance, and the historic buildings are Grade 1 and Grade 2 Listed. The Bishops' Palace is now a private venue for Weddings, Events and Conferences.
Self-guided tours of the Bishops’ Palace are available between 11am and 4.30pm. Volunteer Palace Guides will be present between 2pm and 4pm to offer historical information.
Wood fired Pizzas, Cream Teas and Refreshments will be available to purchase.
Fun for all the family! Historic Civil War re-enactments from 11am to 4pm featuring military drills.
The Castle Keep, which is maintained by English Heritage, is currently closed to the public and is very likely to remain so during September.
