Finding the Hall Houses

Market Place, Harleston, Norfolk, IP20 9AD

  • Multiple dates available
  • In person
  • Pre-booking not required

Follow a trail of buildings in the town centre discovering well disguised historic Hall Houses.

Harleston has never had a fire so an amazing proportion of its mediaeval Hall Houses survive in the compact Town Centre although much altered and disguised over the years. Find where they are and discover the escapades of a number of their occupants over the years. Finish your tour with a visit to The Swan and a related exhibition – the Iconic Hall House .

Participating properties in the commercial centre of Harleston will exhibit a poster with a brief description. There will be a QR code to further information.

A printed copy of the trail can be picked up from Harleston Information Plus on Exchange Street.
