Flint Man Walk
The Barbican, Castle Precincts, High Street, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 1YB
A guided tour by 'The Flint Man', David Smith, showing how flint has been used as a building material over the centuries, including the Norman castle and defensive walls, to churches and grand houses. The different types of flint used will be identified together with the structure and techniques employed in a variety of buildings across different centuries.

Booking opens on 21 August and closes the day before the event. For venue tours which happen more than once, you will be able to select the day/time you want during the booking process. Accessibility details
Some steep, uneven surfaces on the walk, which will include public footways adjacent to busy highways. The walk will take between one hour and one and a half hours.
