Follow the Time Traveller's History Trail

Visitors will start outside the Town Hall and be taken on a guided walk around the historic town, stopping along the way at various points of historic interest along the way. Meet, as you walk around; an important local doctor (but not for the reason you may be thinking about); the forward thinking Curate; and 'Trotty' Cook.
Returning to the Town Hall, where it will be open to look round the building, meeting the first Trustees and some of their stories, and its special features. These include recently restored and displayed original doors from the town's House of Correction; visiting the Heritage Room to view the displays. Light Refreshments and Toilets will be available.
