Fordwich Town Hall
Fordwich Town Hall, Fordwich, King street, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 0DB
Trustees and Custodians are pleased to welcome visitors to this beautiful ancient town hall situated next to the river Stour. Dating from 1544, this tiny Town Hall comprises a Main Hall once used as a court room, an even smaller jury room, a jail, an undercroft and a crane house. The beautifully planted garden allows visitors to quietly sit and enjoy the tranquil setting, which served Canterbury a thousand years ago during the building of The Canterbury Cathedral.
We will not accept large groups during Heritage Open Days. Please book separately.
