Fort Widley Cold War Bunker Taster Tour
Peter Ashley Activity Centre, Fort Widley, Portsdown Hill, Portsmouth, Hampshire, PO6 3LS
Hidden deep within this historic fort, the Control Centre is a rare survivor from the Cold War era, offering a fascinating glimpse into a time when Britain prepared for the threat of nuclear conflict.
Join our guide on a one-hour tour through the underground tunnels to the Bunker, where you'll discover how this remarkable Control Centre would have operated during a national emergency.
The Bunker has remained virtually unchanged since the 1950s and was only ever brought into operation during the Great Storm of 1987.
Please note that this tour includes uneven surfaces, inclines and steps, and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
