Free Guided Tour: Victorian Sudbury

During the Victorian period (1837-1901) the town of Sudbury saw many changes, from the coming of the railway, to mass building clearance in the 1840s as a result of the Town Improvement Act (1826). This tour explores how the built environment changed as a result of massive societal and political shift during this era.

This is an outdoor walking tour taking place in the historic town centre of Sudbury. Some of the streets are narrow and uneven but the tour is step free and accessible for those using wheelchairs and pushchairs.
