From Courtroom to Council Chamber: Stories of the Guildhall from 1865

In partnership with West Northamptonshire Council, Northampton Town Council brings to you 'From Courtroom to Council Chamber: Stories of the Guildhall from 1865' which will take place at the Guildhall on Saturday 19th September between 11am - 3.30pm*, as part of West Northamptonshire Council's Heritage Open Days.
* Please note the last tour will be 2.30pm
As part of this year's Everyday Histories theme, discover how the Guildhall has operated since its opening in 1865, explore the magnificent Great Hall, sign up for free guided tours of the building, and experience live historical re-enactments by local actors and The Mystery Tours. Journey through some of the Guildhall's most iconic rooms, including the historic Courtroom and William Tilly Room, meet the Mayor in the Mayor's Parlour and see the past brought to life through engaging performances and fascinating stories.
Free tours can be booked on the day.

Tours are based on a first come, first serve basis. Bookable in the Great Hall from 11am-2.30pm Coloured wristbands will be allocated on the day so not to oversubscribe tour slots.
