This special event celebrates 50 years of the Friends of York Archaeological Trust by revealing how York Archaeology uncovers and brings to life the city’s rich history — from the first dig to the final display case.

In the majestic Great Hall, meet the teams behind the scenes — from fieldwork and post-excavation to conservation and collections — and get hands-on with real archaeological finds, some never before seen by the public.
