Fully Fashioned Memories is a photographic exhibition celebrating the everyday Atkins factory worker at work and play from the 1960s to 2002.

The Atkins were a local notable hosiery family whose roots start in Hinckley in 1722 and had a continuous family presence in the area with markers of their achievement including Atkins Building still visible today!

Fully Fashioned Memories is a photographic exhibition celebrating the everyday factory worker at work and play from the 1960s to 2002. Christmas parties, new babies, retirement, all elements of factory social life are captured in this collection.

Directions:
By Bus Atkins Building is on a major bus route with regular services to Leicester, Earl Shilton, Barwell, Nuneaton and Coventry and is a less than 10 minute walk from Hinckley Bus Station. By Train Hinckley Railway Station is on the CrossCountry route. There are typically trains every hour to/from Birmingham New Street (westbound) and Leicester (eastbound). The Atkins Building is a half-mile walk from the station, via Station Road, across the Market Place and along the end of Regent Street to Lower Bond Street. Parking information Lower Bond Street, LE10 1QU with 82 standard bays, three disabled bays and one motorcycle bay. Holliers Walk, LE10 1QW with 32 standard bays, two disabled bays and one motorcycle bay There are Blue Badge disabled parking bays available at the rear of Atkins Building, accessed from Druid Street via a shared driveway with NWSLC, a Further Education College.

Atkins Gallery at Atkins Building has full wheelchair access via a platform lift or straight from the pavement a little further from the entrance near the Holly Bush building. Atkins Gallery has a unisex disabled toilet which also includes a wall mounted baby change table.

Atkins Gallery will be hosting a second exhibition for Heritage Open days at the same time.
