The Atkins were a local notable hosiery family whose roots start in Hinckley in 1722 and had a continuous family presence in the area with markers of their achievement including Atkins Building still visible today!
Fully Fashioned Memories is a photographic exhibition celebrating the everyday factory worker at work and play from the 1960s to 2002. Christmas parties, new babies, retirement, all elements of factory social life are captured in this collection.

Atkins Gallery at Atkins Building has full wheelchair access via a platform lift or straight from the pavement a little further from the entrance near the Holly Bush building. Atkins Gallery has a unisex disabled toilet which also includes a wall mounted baby change table.
Atkins Gallery will be hosting a second exhibition for Heritage Open days at the same time. The Atkins Family: A Local Legacy in Industry This exhibition presents the Atkins family tree, stretching across the gallery wall to chart more than a century of leadership, industry management, and civic responsibility. 9 September to 18 September
