  • | Talk

Talk and tour of Lancaster’s Storey Gardens, with Blue Badge Guide Gregory Wright. Find out how a Georgian family garden changed over time and went on to become home to a unique artwork by Mark Dion, and its role today as a free public green space.

Join the Friends of the Storey Gardens to find out more about the history of the gardens, with award-winning Blue Badge Tourist Guide and owner of Lancaster Walks, Talks & Tours, Gregory Wright.
Gregory will trace the gardens’ history, and the people who lived and worked here, from early roots to the creation of The Tasting Garden artwork by international artist, Mark Dion.
The talk starts in The Storey auditorium and volunteers will be at the entrance to welcome you. Towards the end of the talk Gregory will lead you into the gardens to take a closer look.
See how the fruit sculptures and paths shaped like branches of a tree have been sensitively recreated in collaboration with the artist. Enjoy the beautiful gardens created by the hard work of Friends of the Storey Gardens volunteers.
